Polarity on non-conductive layers

In the V1 spec, conductive layers can have a polarity property, but this is not present in the non-conductive layers. Should this be a part of the spec? I'm assuming "polarity" means whether or not the Gerber data is positive or negative (as a mask for the  photo resist).

  • Elias Bakken  only conductive layers should have a polarity to show if the conductive image in the file is positive or negative. For non-conductive layers this is not needed since those layers don't have an image that could be shown as negative or positive.

  • Ok, I've seen in other specifications that all layers with graphics have polarity, that's why I questioned it.
